About 6 years ago my then-boyfriend-now-husband bought me my first digital camera for Christmas. It was a simple Sony point-and-shoot camera and over the next several months I began to realize how much I truly loved taking pictures. It was just a hobby and I wasn't really interested in getting too much into it. . . at first. The more I shot though, the more I wanted to learn all I could about photography and be able to take better shots. So, now, several years later, here I am! I consider myself to be an advanced amateur and not to be a "professional." I didn't go to school for photography and everything I have learned I have learned from spending countless hours reading books, articles, websites, etc., and from other photographers.
